Latest news

Sadly it does not appear as if there will be an official visit from Emmerich this year, although this has not yet been finally confirmed.  Some private visits may take place, however.

Other news:  German conversation group in Petals

Since September last year regular meetings have been held at the Petals Tearoom in Dersingham for people who wish to speak some German or enjoy refreshments in the company of people interested in all things German.  This came about as the initiative of one of our members, Claudia Thoma, who took the inspiration from a similar arrangement at a cafe in Norwich, which four members had attended earlier in the summer.  She advertised the event on the Petals Facebook page and the response has been remarkable.  Each month at least 12 people turn up, mostly non-members of the Twinning Club.  Although not everyone speaks German all the time, it is very good to meet people interested in Germany and the German language.  The next session will take place on Friday, 17th May from 1-3pm.
